7 Tips For Summer Riding With E-bike

Summer is one of the best times to ride an e-bike. It’s a great way to stay active and enjoy the outdoors. But the intense sunlight can sometimes cause some damage to our body. If you plan on biking this summer, be sure to follow these tips so you can enjoy your e-bike ride safely and comfortably!

All-round Protection For Your Skin

We all know that we should be careful when we're out in the sun, but sometimes it's hard to remember all of the different things we need to do to protect our skin. Here are a few tips to help you stay safe in the sun this summer:
1) Wear a wide-brimmed hat to cover your head and neck.
2) Apply sunscreen with an SPF 30 or higher within 15-30 minutes before going outside.
3) Wear sunglasses with UV protection
4) Avoid prolonged exposure from 10 am-4 pm

Keep Your Ebike Out Of The Sun

Can I leave my eBike in the sun?

We generally do not recommend this. Some extra precautions need to be taken when using an e-bike in the summer.
First of all, it is best to store the e-bike in a cool place or indoors, make sure the battery is well ventilated and avoid direct sunlight.
Second, summer travel is longer, make sure your battery is fully charged so you can ride longer and not get stuck on unknown roads due to a power outage.
Third, try to avoid riding during the hottest times of the day and opt for cool morning or evening rides instead.

Wearing Clothes Suitable For Summer

When you're wearing comfortable, sweat-wicking gear, you'll be better able to enjoy your e-bike rides while staying cool. Usually cotton and linen fabrics are softer and easier to wick away sweat. And please be sure to choose light-colored clothing that reflects rather than absorbs sunlight. Don't forget to protect your skin with sunscreen!

Plan A Green Route

If you're going to ride an e-bike on a hot summer day, it's important to plan a route with lots of greenery. This will help you avoid excessive sun exposure while riding and make your ride more relaxing and enjoyable.

Keep Hydrated

Staying hydrated is important when the weather is hot. Riders often lose significant amounts of potassium and sodium electrolytes during summer riding. The best way to restore these electrolytes is to drink beverages that contain the desired ingredients.
Carry a water bottle with you on the bike and take frequent breaks, especially if you're going on a long ride.

Listen to Your Body

You know your body better than anyone, so if you start to feel overheated or dizzy, it's important to listen to these cues and take a break. Stop, find a shade, drink some water, and give yourself a chance to calm down. Emphasize again, staying hydrated is also important when riding an e-bike on a hot summer day, so be sure to bring a water bottle.

Choose A Right Time

The summer heat can be hard on a bike, especially if you don't ride a lot. But with a little preparation, you can make riding your e-bike a breeze. It's important to choose a right time to ride. Early morning or dusk, avoid the worst of the heat and you'll have more energy to ride up the hill. Do you believe? it's a magical thing to ride on the road while everyone else is sleeping.
